Manor School in Brent has taken a bold step to embed sustainability into its culture by including environmental targets in all staff annual objectives, including leadership roles, class teachers, LSAs and school site staff. This approach aligns with the One School One World (OSOW) framework, which recommends integrating sustainability into whole-school planning and School Improvement Plans.
By making climate action part of performance reviews, the school ensures accountability and shared responsibility across every role. Early signs of impact are already visible with teachers and LSAs have starting to bring forward ideas for climate action projects to the Senior Programme Lead.
This initiative is fostering a proactive, collaborative mindset and positioning sustainability as a core priority rather than an optional extra!
